Find Your MP

Action Needed

This e-action enables you to directly contact your local MP to encourage them to attend a key event in Parliament on Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA), taking place on Tuesday, 25 March, from 1pm to 3pm in the House of Commons Terrace Dining Room B.

Why This Matters

Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) is a rare language-led dementia. It heavily affects language, starting with difficulties in finding the right word or remembering names. Over time, it progressives, impacting speech, personality, and behaviour. Speech and language therapists play a crucial role in supporting its diagnosis and helping people with PPA and their families, friends, and carers maintain meaningful communication for longer.

This event, kindly sponsored by Helen Maguire MP, is an opportunity for parliamentarians to meet people living with PPA and their families, hear their experiences, and discuss how we can work together to improve support.

Your MP’s attendance is vital to raising awareness of PPA and ensuring better support for those affected.
